There are several variables that make up a great dog daycare or a fantastic dog park. However, there’s really only one variable that is completely under your control as an individual dog owner. Regardless of the daycare or dog park quality, the decision to bring your dog into the mix is up to you.
If you know that your dog’s social skills are questionable, it doesn’t matter how great the dog park is before you get there, it is going to be less so when your dog arrives. If your dog doesn’t have a reliable recall from playing with other dogs, then you are going to be helpless in controlling your dog’s behavior in a play environment. Read more…
